Basic Picture Options

You can access several other options by pressing the Menu button while viewing a picture:

• Share: Just like the sharing functionality described earlier in this chapter,you can send a picture to an email address or phone number.

• Rotate: Just tap this option to rotate the picture.Tap Rotate left or Rotate right to rotate the picture.

• Flip orientation: Tap this option to change the orientation of the phone’s display.The picture won’t actually rotate,just the Notification bar at the top of the screen and the location of the Next and Previous buttons and the menu options.

• Delete: Tap Delete and then OK to permanently delete the picture.

• More: Tap More for some advanced options.

Advanced Picture Options

Pressing the Menu button and tapping More brings up the menu.


Tap Crop to place a crop box around your picture.You can touch the screen and move around the square to select just one area of the photo.Touch one of the yellow lines to display arrows on each line.You can move your finger around the screen to make the yellow box bigger or smaller.When you’re done,tap Save,or tap Discard to put the picture back the way it was.


Set as allows you to set your picture as a contact’s picture or as your phone’s wallpaper,as discussed earlier in the “Taking Pictures with Your Phone”section.

Tapping Details should display information.This information includes the picture’s name,file size,resolution,date taken,and,if you’ve enabled location details,the location where the picture was taken.To hide this box,just press the Back button.
