Purchasing New Songs

Although you can always take songs off CDs and put them on your computer, and then your phone, you also can buy music in electronic format. You can do that from your computer, but that’s not what we’re all about. We’re all about your phone.Sure enough, you can do that here too.

First, return to the home screen. If you want to keep listening to music, you can do that too. Open the Applications tab and tap Amazon MP3

The options are pretty straightforward.Top 100 Albums and Top 100 Songs are based on purchase frequency and popularity. You can choose Browse by Genre when you’re in the mood to buy some random Live Folk.

Overall, the process is straightforward until you tap the price to buy a song. The price changes to a Buy button.Tap that, and you get the error message.

You can’t actually buy music over the cell phone network. This requires a Wi-Fi network, like you would find in a coffee shop,or maybe at home. So,tap Yes to tell the phone you want to buy the song. The next time you connect to Wi-Fi,the song will download. If you don’t want to buy the song, tap No.

Note: To say that you have to connect to Wi-Fi to purchase a song isn’t completely accurate. You actually can purchase the song with no issues. What you can’t do is download the song.Note that you also need an Amazon account to purchase music.
