Making and Answering Calls

You have a nice little piece of plastic and electronics in your hand, but it comes down to a modern-day equivalent of Alexander Graham Bell’s (or Antonio Meucci’s) harmonic telegraph. Let’s look at the basics of making a call.

If you have a phone with a slide-out keyboard,or a keypad, simply press the Home key and start dialing using the numeric keys.Press the green handset button to connect the call.

If your phone utilizes a touch screen like the G1,follow these steps to place a call:

1. Press the green handset button.
2. Tap the Dialer tab
3. Enter the phone number of the person you want to call.
4. Press the green handset button again.

To answer a call, press the green handset button. There is no way to use the touch screen to answer an incoming call.
