Reminder Settings and Other Options

You can configure a variety of options for your calendar,including default reminder settings and default view settings.Configuring default reminder settings causes the same type of reminder to be played for every event.You can always change the reminder setting for a specific event when you create that event.

To access these other options,press the Menu button,tap More,and then tap Settings.

The Calendar view setting allows you to hide events that you’ve been invited to but have declined.Tap the check box to select it.

The Reminder settings section has a variety of options.

Note: You can also access these settings from the keyboard by pressing the Menu button and P key simultaneously.

Set Alerts & Notifications

Tap Set alerts & notifications to control how the reminder is displayed.You can choose from the following options:

• Alert: This option displays a pop-up window when the reminder occurs.

• Status bar notification: This is the default option and places an alert in the status bar when the reminder 
occurs

• Off: This turns off all notifications of your reminder,which is much the same as not having a reminder at all.Selecting this option turns off a few other options such as Select ringtone and Vibrate.


Select Ringtone

Tap Select ringtone to choose the ringtone you want played when your reminder occurs. You can choose from a variety of ringtones that you have on your phone. Tap the specific ringtone you want played when your reminder occurs,and then tap OK to save your changes.

Vibrate

Tap this option to enable or disable vibration.You can have your reminder play a ringtone, vibrate,or both play a ringtone and vibrate.

Set Default Reminder

Tap the Set default reminder option to configure the timing of your default reminder.


You can choose from a variety of time settings.For example,if you tap 12 hours,your reminder will occur 12 hours before the start time of your event.
