Customizing Picture Settings

Your phone does lots of cool stuff.Slideshows are great.Your less technically savvy friends or family members will be impressed that your phone can do all that. However,if you’re anything like us,you probably want to play around with the picture settings to make your phone even more awesome.

To change your picture settings, press the Menu button, tap More, and then tap Settings to display the screen.

Picture Size

Your phone’s camera is 2 megapixels. This means that each picture you take can be as big as 500KB. Although that’s a lot smaller than most new digital cameras,it’s still too big to send as an MMS message.Tap Small to reduce the size of your pictures, and then tap OK to save your changes.

Note: If you reduce the size of your pictures, you also reduce their quality. So if you think your pictures are too grainy or fuzzy, switch back to the large picture size.

Picture Sort

There are only two options here. You can sort your pictures with the newest first or the newest last.Just tap the option you want, and then tap OK.

Confirm Deletions

This is another option that’s pretty self-explanatory.If you tap to uncheck this box, tapping Delete on a picture instantly deletes it.There’s no warning and no way to undo the deletion, so be careful with this option.

Slideshow Interval

Tap this option to change how long each picture is displayed during the slideshow. The longest interval you can choose is 4 seconds,so you can’t use the slideshows to show off your vacation pictures with detailed explanations of the amazing sunsets or interesting plant life. However, increasing the interval will allow people to ooh and aah longer.

Slideshow Transition

Now here’s a cool setting.By default, when you are watching a slideshow, one picture fades out,and another fades in.But you can change these effects.Choose from fade, slide,or random. If you choose random, the phone just picks a random effect for each picture.

Repeat Slideshow

Remember how we told you that the slideshow displays each picture only once? Well, just tap the Repeat slideshow option, and the slideshow keeps going until you stop it.

Shuffle Slides

No,this option isn’t some new (or old) dance step.Tapping Shuffle slides displays pictures in your slideshow in random order.
